So-Called “Disability”. One-Armed Quarterback With No Excuses

There is no doubt Trashaun Willis is a special person. But what really captured my attention was the special group of people that have supported and embraced this young man as he pursues his dreams with football and with life in general.

I had the pleasure of sitting down with his mom, his coach and a couple of others who all are so proud of what this young man has become.

His mom, Jen, is so down-to-earth in the wake of viral videos and such that could have easily put the family on an entirely different path. Instead she and her son are using the viral attention to do good, to inspire more people, to lift others up.

The coach, who helped me set up the story, really blew me away. It’s obvious he sees way beyond the athlete here. He is giving everything he has to promote the abilities of this young man with hopes of helping him reach his goals.

And then of course there is the young man himself. Watch for yourself. You’ll see why he needs no excuses and how whatever path he chooses– he will shine.
